Family adds Sadie

TORONTO – A nature-obsessed fourteen-year-old girl observes and documents the behaviour of human specimens at her high school in Naturally, Sadie, a new live-action comedy series for tweens making its premiere on Family on Saturday, June 25 at 6 p.m. ET/PT.

An original series with 26 half-hour episodes, Naturally, Sadie is produced by DECODE Entertainment (Radio Free Roscoe) in association with Family Channel.

According to the release: Wanna-be naturalist Sadie Hawthorne (Charlotte Arnold) looks for and finds amazing things to analyze all around her. But at her school, R.B. Bennett High (which makes it a definitely Canadian show), Sadie finds that human beings are unpredictable, complicated and, at times, scientifically impossible creatures, and her attempts to sort and classify them mostly just gets her into trouble. In her quest to understand her world, she is always, albeit inadvertently, insulting her classmates…or looking ridiculous in front of the guy she likes… or dragging her friends into social experiments gone awry. But one day she’ll get to the bottom of it all. At least in theory.

A DECODE Entertainment production in association with Family Channel and VRAK, Naturally, Sadie is produced with the participation of the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit, The Ontario Film and Television Tax Credit, the Rogers Cable Network Fund, Astral Media The Harold Greenberg Fund, Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund, the Canadian Television Fund: License Fee Program, Telefilm Canada: Equity Investment Program and the Vidéotron Fund.
