Fairchild TV, Talentvision add World Cup coverage

TORONTO - Fairchild TV and Talentvision are bringing the excitement of 2010 FIFA World Cup to Chinese Canadian audiences in their own languages.The ethnic broadcaster aired the tournament’s opening game on Friday, and has also pledged to carry the final 8 World Cup games live with commentaries from hosts Chun Ming Poon, Edcon Yau and former soccer player/commentator, Ivan Wuh, in both Cantonese and Mandarin.From July 2 - 11, Fairchild TV said that it will also add a daily program called World Cup Highlights to its prime time schedule.www.fairchildtv.com
