Fairchild Radio thinks pink

VANCOUVER - Multicultural radio network Fairchild Radio Group celebrated Pink Day on October 23 to help raise awareness for breast cancer and to raise funds for research, treatment and prevention.Staff of Fairchild Radio in Vancouver sold pink pins, socks and mittens provided by the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation at a shopping centre, raising $3,700 in one afternoon.  In Toronto, Fairchild's AM1430 and FM88.9 conducted a series of interviews with doctors and experts to update listeners on the latest developments in breast cancer research, while FM94.7 in Calgary asked listeners to decorate canned foods with pink wrappers, all of which was...
