CARLSBAD, Calif. and TORONTO – Bell ExpressVu subscribers can now play the popular number-based puzzle game Sudoku using their satellite TV remote control.
They can also keep track of their personal game results and be eligible for prizes by registering their scores on a special web site.
NTN Buzztime, a leading developer and distributor of Play Along TV entertainment and technology, announced the addition of the game today.
"Sudoku is one of the most popular and widely-played puzzle games in the world today. Subscribers to ExpressVu… can now play many different versions of Sudoku in a fun, interactive format, without having to leave the comfort of their sofa," said Tyrone Lam, president of Buzztime Entertainment, in a release.
Buzztime’s Sudoku follows the popular format of Sudoku games everywhere: puzzlers attempt to fill in a square grid so that every row and every column contains the digits 1 through 9.
Bell ExpressVu’s subscribers play Sudoku by tuning to Game Galaxy and selecting the Buzztime Sudoku game. From there, they can personalize their experience by selecting from different game backgrounds and then choose from one of three game formats, each with a different strategy of play.
The Buzztime satellite TV game service available through ExpressVu also includes the Trivia Channel which also includes Buzztime Player leader boards.
