EXFO tackles VoLTE quality with addition of POLQA to service assurance product line

QUEBEC CITY - EXFO Inc. has added Perceptual Objective Listening Quality Assessment (POLQA), the newest voice quality measurement technique standardized in P.863 by the ITU-T, to its BrixCall product line.With voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) entering commercial deployment phase, EXFO said that service providers are looking to capitalize on premium services such as high-definition (HD) voice, and will need to ensure that high fidelity impairment-free voice is actually being delivered.
