QUEBEC CITY – Canadian test and measurement maker EXFO has sold over 25,000 units of its FTB-200 compact platform to more than 1,000 customers around the world, a milestone that it says is a testament to the need for high-end testing modules in small, portable formats.
EXFO introduced the FTB-200 compact platform several years ago to help customers who need to combine high-end technology into something more versatile that can easily be carried into metro and mesh networks by supertechnicians.
The platform is part of EXFO's FTB Ecosystem, an innovative testing environment that combines a range of connected testing platforms and productivity-boosting cloud-based software applications to help network operators accelerate network deployments and reduce operating expenses.
"Today, the FTB-200 compact platform continues to deliver the best performance on the market for optical, Ethernet, SONET/SDH and multiservice testing," said Stéphane Chabot, director of EXFO's optical business unit, in Tuesday’s announcement. "Thanks to its multiple functionalities, we allow our customers to increase their asset utilization and ROI, while reducing their overall costs."
