MONTREAL – Popular football coach Jacques Dussault will join the team of radio hosts at XM Canada’s Franc parler, the first French-language all talk/sports radio channel in North America.
"We are most fortunate and privileged to have a high-calibre sports personality such as Jacques Dussault join our team. His 30 years of experience as a coach will prove highly useful in helping our listeners better understand the scope of sports news," said Michel Tremblay, programming director for XM Canada’s Franc parler in the press release.
Until yesterday, Dussault was head coach for the Université de Montréal’s Carabins. During his career, he has coached the La Machine team of the World League of American Football (WLAF) and the Canadian FootballLeague’s Montreal Alouettes. He has also worked as a commentator and analyst with various media, and has been a collaborator for broadcasters as well as for RDS. He was also a radio host at CKAC and a sports columnist at La Presse.
"After spending several years as a football coach, I was interested in a new challenge while remaining involved in the sports arena, my true passion,"said Dussault.
He will co-host "XM Sports," a program broadcast each weeknight from 7 p.m. He will also be the football analyst on Franc parler, where he will begin broadcasting Monday.
