Evanov Communications announced Monday the debut of a new weekday morning show, Scott and Ana in the Morning, on its Brantford, Ont., radio station Lite 92.1.
Hosted by veteran broadcasters Scott Fox and Ana Almeida, the show airs weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. ET.
Fox’s career in radio spans 27 years, including 19 years as morning host at Evanov’s Toronto station Z103.5 up until 2019. He then was a syndicated radio host for Corus Radio from 2019 to December 2024, hosting The Scott and Kat Show on Kitchener’s 91.5 The Beat, which also aired on Hamilton’s Energy 95.3 and Barrie’s Fresh 93.1. Most recently, Fox has been hosting The Scott Fox After 9 Podcast, which attracts more than 700,000 listeners annually, according to an Evanov press release announcing Lite 92.1’s new morning hosts.
Originally from Portugal, Almeida was raised in Cambridge, Ont., and began her radio career in 2008 at 91.5 The Beat in Kitchener before moving to Halifax. There, she was morning co-host at 101.3 The Bounce, before transitioning to television work at CTV Atlantic where she was host and producer of the daily entertainment segment The A-List, followed by a five-year stint co-hosting the station’s edition of CTV Morning Live. In the fall of 2024, Almeida left CTV Atlantic and relocated back to Ontario.
Scott and Ana in the Morning “promises to deliver upbeat conversations, trending topics, and a soundtrack of today’s favourites and classic hits — making it an exciting and engaging addition to the Lite 92.1 programming lineup,” Evanov’s press release says.
“We’re ready to wake up Southern Ontario with a show that’s fun, informative, and packed with great music,” Fox said in the press release. “I’m excited to be back on morning radio and thrilled to be teaming up with Ana — she brings such a fresh perspective to the show!”
“I am so excited to be back on air, and I can’t wait to engage with listeners and be part of the Lite 92.1 family,” Almeida said. “Scott and I have a great dynamic, and we’re ready to make mornings brighter for Southern Ontario.”
