GEORGIAN BAY, Ont. – Evanov Communications announced today its South Georgian Bay station CJGB-FM 99.3, known as Jewel 99.3, is being rebranded as Lite 99.3.
Lite 99.3 will skew younger “and be more current in its soft, melodic, pop sound,” while maintaining “its strong local and regional orientation,” according to a press release.
“The addition of the Lite format to the South Georgian Bay area is a natural progression in how many of our stations are getting refreshed and being fashioned to be more relevant to the communities they serve,” said Gary Gamble, Evanov’s director of operations, in the press release.
Evanov operates 16 stations in a variety of markets. Its Brantford station CKPC-FM 92.1 (Jewel 92) was rebranded as Lite 92, last month. The company confirmed via email there are no current plans to rebrand its Toronto station, Jewel 88.5.
