Evanov Communications announced Tuesday the appointment of Shannon Bennett to the role of legal/privacy counsel at the Toronto-based independent radio broadcasting company, effective immediately.
Bennett has been with Evanov Communications as in-house counsel since September 2022.
“Over her tenure with us, Shannon has become a key member of our in-house legal and regulatory department,” Paul Evanov, the company’s president and CEO, said in a press release. “Her keen interest and knowledge in Privacy Law lines up with our plan to institute a more fulsome infrastructure in this area for the benefit of our company and employees.”
Bennett was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2018, having previously practised as a barrister in Ireland. She holds an LLB (Hons) Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of the West of England and an LLM (Master of Laws) degree from Trinity College Dublin. She is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional for both Canada and the European Union.
