TORONTO – Ethnic Channels Group has named Christian Morsanutto as its SVP of business development and operations, effective immediately.
With more than 20 years of television sales and operations experience, Morsanutto was most recently VP business development and operations for Reach Media Inc./ART, and prior to that, served as GM of Italian Services for SkyView Media.
In his new role, Morsanutto will be responsible for ECG's U.S. marketplace pay, free, basic cable, satellite, PPV, SVOD, VOD and other television transmission sales initiatives, including the company’s new Nextologies technology for global video delivery. He will also oversee the company’s U.S. digital distribution and non-theatrical efforts.
“Christian is one of the most effective and well-respected senior executives in the international television business and we are thrilled that he will be joining our senior team,” said ECG CEO Slava Levin, in the announcement. “Our television and digital division will work with the other divisions of the company to provide a fully integrated approach to content distribution, acquisition and transport worldwide.”
In addition to distributing ECG's proprietary programming, the television and digital division aggregates third party content and provides sales and distribution services to operators, digital platforms, content management firms and other independent distribution companies in need of a television and digital sales partner.
