
TORONTO – Aimed at Ontario’s multi-ethnic communities, Ethnic Channels Group (ECG) launched 23 new channels on Cogeco Cable on December 12.
The channels add content to Cogeco’s third language services and help the Canadian multi-ethnic majority watch TV as if they live in their home country without leaving their couch in Canada says ECG.
“We are very excited to partner with Cogeco on the launch of these services. These channels will assist Cogeco to grow their subscriber base by capturing new clients that have been previously underserved by a minimal amount of ethnic offerings,” said Slava Levin, CEO of Ethnic Channels Group.

Hindi channels: Zee Cinema, Big Magic International, Aaj Tak
Urdu channels: GEO TV, HUM TV, Zee Salaam
German channels: ProSiebenSat.1 Welt, German Kino Plus, Schlager TV
Arabic channels: Melody Drama, Melody Aflam, Melody Hits, Dream 1, Dream 2, Future TV
Filipino/Tagalog channel: FTV
Russian channels: RTR Planeta, CTC, RTVi, TVCi, KHL

Tamil channel: Zee Tamizh
