TORONTO – Just in time for the Toronto International Film Festival, Corus’ Entertainment Tonight Canada is offering Facebook users a daily live entertainment news show through the Facebook Live streaming service.

Shot and produced in studio, ET Canada LIVE promises breaking celebrity, film, television, and music news in 20 – 25 minutes.  It also allows viewers to engage directly with the ET Canada hosts in real time through live comments.

Since its launch in June, Corus said that the show has generated a total of over 841,000 video views, with the top two performing posts resulting in over 100,000 views each.

“With more Canadians on Facebook than any other social network, offering premium programming through Facebook Live is the next step in continuing to engage ET Canada’s audiences,” said Maria Hale, SVP of Global entertainment & acquisitions, in the news release.  “Through ET Canada LIVE we’re able to dive deeper into topics with our viewers, opening up a two-way dialogue about the entertainment news stories that have Canadians talking.”

Starting next week, ET Canada Live will bring fans a daily dose of the Toronto International Film Festival with ET Canada's Facebook Live Film Festival series presented by Nespresso. The special live series will air September 12 -15 at 10:30 AM ET.
