
BRISTOL, CONN. — ESPN plans to kick off a new multi-sport subscription streaming service, following majority owner Disney’s $1 billion investment in Major League Baseball’s BAMTech streaming media unit, Variety.com reported Tuesday.
According to the report, ESPN’s direct-to-consumer streaming service will include content from both BAMTech and ESPN, with live regional, national and international sporting events available for viewing. The service is expected to launch by the end of 2016.
