TORONTO – American football fans will soon get another serving of the Canadian game after U.S. sports network ESPN and its OTT streamer ESPN+ agreed to team up to show every Canadian Football League (CFL) matchup in the 2019 season.

The CFL said Monday that its new multi-year exclusive U.S. rights agreement will see ESPN air at least 20 CFL games, including three on the June 15th opening weekend, as well as the Grey Cup.  ESPN+ will stream more than 65 games and kick off the CFL’s regular season schedule when the Saskatchewan Roughriders take on the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on June 13 at 7:30 PM ET.

ESPN has maintained exclusive U.S. rights to CFL games since 2014 after airing its first ever CFL game in 1980.

All CFL games in Canada will air exclusively on TSN in English and in French on RDS.  Matchups are also available in the UK and Ireland via BT Sport.
