TORONTO – The province of Ontario’s French language public broadcaster Groupe Media TFO announced today Éric Minoli will take on the role of interim president and CEO, following Glenn O’Farrell’s departure on August 16th.
Minoli (pictured) is currently vice-president and COO. “The board of directors is very confident that Éric Minoli will lead the organization with confidence and ensure the continuity of its operations, while implementing the 2019-2022 strategic plan, an important legacy of Glenn O’Farrell’s leadership,” said Carole Beaulieu board chair.
Besides helping build the new strategic plan, Minoli “has made a major contribution to the digital transformation of Groupe Média TFO by creating the Virtual Worlds Laboratory (LUV) in 2016 with the help of his teams. A winner of two international awards, the LUV is the only production studio of its kind in North America; it integrates video game technology to production, to create and broadcast a new generation of digital educational productions designed to engage learning audiences in Ontario, Canada and the world,” reads the press release.
“It is with great honour that I have agreed to assume the role of Interim President and CEO to initiate the implementation of Groupe Média TFO’s new 2019-2022 strategic plan. The Francophonie, education and employability skills are at the heart of this new vision; we will use this key vision to provide relevant support to young Francophones and Francophiles to develop their full potential for the job market of tomorrow,” said Minoli, in the release.
