MONTREAL — Bell Media’s radio station Énergie 94.3 in Montreal announced today its morning show Le Boost! will have a trio of new hosts starting Aug. 22.
Rémi-Pierre Paquin, Cathy Gauthier and Martin Tremblay (pictured above, left to right) are taking over hosting duties of Le Boost!, which airs Monday to Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET.
The program is the number one music morning show among adults aged 25-54 in Montreal, according to Numeris data referred to in Bell Media’s press release.
“The morning team made up of Philo Lirette, Kim Rusk and Olivier Martineau confirmed on June 23 that it would not be back for the fall 2022 start of the school year. After five years of getting up at dawn and an incontestable radio listening success, the team wants to take a break from radio to devote themselves to their various personal and professional projects,” reads an English translation of the press release.
“We are proud that Rémi-Pierre and Cathy have chosen to join the Énergie 94.3 family alongside an experienced morning man like Martin. We are very happy to be able to count on their immense talent to quickly develop a bond with the listeners,” said Benoît Simard, programming director at Énergie, in the translation.
“I would like to sincerely thank Kim, Philo and Olivier for the commitment, rigour and passion they have shown daily over the past five years. The responsibility of accompanying the audience in the morning time slot is one of the most demanding in the industry. The Énergie 94.3 team wishes them the best of success in their future projects.”
Énergie 94.3 also announced it is extending its association with Quebec comedic legend François Pérusse for several years. Pérusse will continue to provide his “Fréquence Pérusse” capsules three times an hour every weekday morning, in addition to Saturdays and Sundays from 6 a.m. ET during the program Les 180 minutes du peuple.
Finally, the radio station announced Mario Tessier will be back this fall alongside Marie-Claude Savard and Sébastien Trudel on the afternoon drive program Ça rentre au poste, which airs Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET.
