TORONTO – Alliance Atlantis has announced details of the 3rd annual Spotlight on Specialty.
This year the event will be held on April, 26th, 2006 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Four Seasons hotel in Toronto. The co-sponsor will be Marketing magazine.
This year, Jack Myers returns as a keynote speaker. He is editor and publisher of the Jack Myers Media Business Report and will touch on his “Myers Emotional Connections Studies” – defining the engagement and attentiveness of audiences to the media.
New to Spotlight this year is keynote speaker Max Lenderman. He is author of the new book “Experience the Message – How Experiential Marketing is Changing the Brand World.” Well known for his guerrilla marketing campaigns here and in the U.S., Lenderman encourages advertisers to push the boundaries on experiential marketing – engaging the individual 1:1. Experience the Message focuses on an age when individuals are exposed to roughly four thousand marketing messages a day, and how advertisers can better engage them through targeted, connected, brand-relevant experiences.

In an effort to facilitate a more meaningful two-way dialogue between ourselves, the TV viewing public as well as the viewers of several of Alliance Atlantis’ specialty networks, on-line panel forums have been created. This two-way dialogue will allow Alliance Atlantis to be more responsive to its viewers, and also has potential future applications for advertisers," says the press release.
As new technologies launch daily, the consumer is becoming increasingly empowered on how, where and when they receive their favourite content. Last year, over 400 Spotlight attendees heard about viewer’s relationships to, and advertising relevance of commercial messages on Specialty Television. This year’s Spotlight on Specialty will continue to showcase how Specialty TV continues to be a critical part of an advertiser’s television plan by engaging, inspiring and connecting emotionally to its dedicated viewers.
