Edmonton's CTV newscasts to air in HD October 1

EDMONTON - CTV Edmonton begins broadcasting its local newscasts in 1080i high definition on Monday, October 1. The newscasts include: CTV Morning Live, CTV News at Noon, CTV News at Five, 5:30, and six, and CTV News at 11:30. “This is perhaps the most significant technological advancement since we started producing local programs in colour in 1970,” said Brad Hooper, Manager of Operations and Engineering, CTV Edmonton in a news release. “We’re transforming our building with entirely new technology, linked together with over 30 kilometers of new cabling.” October 1 will mark the beginning of an exciting new era for...
