EcoRevolution conference set for November in Moncton, NB

MONCTON, NB – Terry Tamminen, an environmental advisor and author who worked with Arnold Schwarzenegger in the summer of 2003 on his campaign to become California governor, will give the keynote address at ecoRevolution, a symposium on business and the environment, in Moncton, New Brunswick on November 27.

Tamminen’s keynote will occur at Capitol Theatre at 7 p.m., following sessions running from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Delta Beauséjour Hotel.

Other conference speakers include Robyn Tingley, vice-president of communications and public affairs at Aliant (Green business is good business); Craig Wight, vice-president at Bristol Omnifacts Research (Atlantic Canadians and the Environment) and Mike Purcell, senior sustainability advisor for Natural Step Canada (Strategic Planning for Sustainability).

A panel discussion will focus on Efficiencies: Atlantic Canadian Case Studies.

“We are excited to unveil the full program for the conference. As we researched potential speakers, we were looking for knowledgeable and inspirational experts who approached business and the environment with a positive outlook,” said ecoRevolution chair Rick DesBrisay. “There is something business people can learn from each of these speakers. They will be able to take ideas back and incorporate them into their own businesses.”

The conference is sponsored by Aliant and the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce.

Registration for the ecoRevolution conference is $375 for Chamber or Board of Trade members across Atlantic Canada. The cost is $450 for non-members and $200 for students and seniors, excluding taxes.
