HALIFAX – EastLink Cable is growing its workforce again, holding a career fair in Halifax tomorrow. The firm has tripled its workforce since 1999 as it marches across the Maritimes and expands its services, including offering local telephony.
It’s hiring people in various positions with different skills and levels of experiences. It hopes to attract jobseekers from the Maritimes and those who may want to return to the area from across Canada.
“With a reputation built on innovation and success, EastLink offers employment opportunities and advancement that are usually reserved for companies that are headquartered in larger Canadian cities,” says Donald Rankin, Director of Human Resources at EastLink. “We look for candidates who have an entrepreneurial orientation and are willing to support our customer-service culture. We strive to be an employer of choice in the Maritimes by offering great careers in a stable and secure work environment.”
EastLink is Canada’s fifth largest cable company and currently has 700 employees.
