HALIFAX – EastLink Television will launch its new season of local programming on October 2nd.

Among a number of returning favourites, the channel will launch a new program: Real Wheels. This reality-style program is a “how-to” on the ins and outs of sport compact car modifications and will premiere in January.

Viewer favourites Harv’s Sportsland, EastLink Magazine, Welcome to My Kitchen and Two Guys and a Computer all return to the Fall program line-up. Rounding out the schedule includes last year’s hits: Wonderful World of Painting and Podium TV. Children’s favourite Sunshine Sue and You returns in December hosted by New Glasgow native Sue Walsh.

“This season’s lineup presents our most comprehensive schedule of programs ever at EastLink Television, and we are very excited about our offerings,” said Michael Smith, director of EastLink Television. “Our programming, which originates from communities throughout Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, offers Maritimers the best in local television.”

EastLink Television is expanding its live sports this season, broadcasting 21 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League games as part of its Friday Night Hockey program. Atlantic University Sport rounds out EastLink Television’s sports coverage with broadcasts of men’s football, hockey and basketball and women’s basketball on Saturdays throughout the fall and winter.
