HALIFAX – EastLink has put the finishing touches on a slate of 3D programming that is set to debut in October.
New content availble through EastLink OnDemand will include the premiere of the Hollywood blockbuster The Green Lantern 3D, and the James Cameron produced Sanctum 3D. EastLink president and COO Deborah Shaffner hinted that there will be more 3D movies, programs and sporting events to come.
"Our research shows that 3D TVs are becoming increasingly popular," Shaffner said in Thursday’s announcement. "As our customers have been investing in this technology, we have been proactively preparing to deliver the best 3D programming experience. We have been installing HD and 3D ready digital receivers in our customers’ homes for over a year now and offer HD and 3D ready receivers to customers who require an upgrade."
EastLink’s digital receivers are HD, Blu-ray quality (1080p 24) and 3D ready, which means that customers who invest in a 3D TV are immediately able to enjoy the full 3D programming experience.
