TIMMINS, ON – EastLink will sink $7.5 million in to an upgrade of its network in the northern Ontario community of Timmins.In a presentation to Timmins city council earlier this week, EastLink said the expansion will allow for a “full range of competitive bundled services” such as home telephone service, high-speed Internet and digital cable and high definition television.Some of the infrastructure will be completely replaced. EastLink said it will install 222km of new plant, consisting of 192km of aerial construction and 30km of underground plant.www.eastlink.ca
