Eastlink announced Tuesday it is introducing its latest mobile service evolution with easyTab Flex, offering the lowest device pricing paired with the best plan price.
Eastlink has long offered an easyTab device financing program, which allows customers to purchase a phone with equal payments over a 24-month term.
The new easyTab Flex program offers Eastlink wireless customers an upfront credit towards the balance of their device easyTab at the time of purchase on select devices, providing customers with a reduced monthly tab contribution dependent on their agreeing to return the device in good condition at the end of their 24-month term.
“As we continue to elevate our mobile experience, we continue to take our lead from our customers who have been clear about the level of flexibility and value they want from their provider,” Eastlink CEO Jeff Gillham said in a press release. “It’s that customer-centric thinking that’s led to a product that we are proud to say can’t be beat with the absolute best value in all of the markets we serve.”
Eastlink’s easyTab Flex makes a wider selection of devices more affordable for customers, the telecom says. Eligible devices include the Apple iPhone 15 and iPhone 14 families, and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5, S24 family, S23 and S23FE, among others.
“It also makes it easy for customers to contribute to sustainability by returning their device to Eastlink after 24 months, after which the phones are securely refurbished and repurposed or recycled. In return, customers enjoy a lower monthly payment for the duration of their term,” Eastlink’s press release says.
Eastlink has invested more than $450 million in its mobile service since it launched in 2013, it says. The Halifax-based telecom operates its mobile network in parts of Nova Scotia including Cape Breton, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island and northern Ontario, as well as Grande Prairie in Alberta.
