HAPPY VALLEY GOOSE BAY, NL – Eastlink has invested $2 million to upgrade its services available to residents of Happy Valley Goose Bay.

In addition to significantly faster internet speeds, the upgrade also includes access to 100% HD television, the ability to stream TV to other devices, and Video On Demand.  The company added that it is also planning to introduce “competitive phone services” in the coming months.

"Investing in smaller communities like Happy Valley Goose Bay to connect them to world class communications services is a fundamental part of who we are as a company,” said Eastlink regional manager Arthur Taylor, in the news release. “This upgrade will begin this month bringing substantially enhanced services including internet that is 20 times faster than previously offered.”

Eastlink said that it has invested $144 million in Newfoundland over the past 10 years as it continues to bring services that are equivalent to those in larger areas to more than 250 communities in the province.
