Donations for families of fallen RCMP officers top $92,000

MONCTON - Canadians have used their cell phones to donate more than $92,000 to support the families of the RCMP Officers killed in last week’s tragedy in Moncton.As Cartt.ca reported, the text-to-donate initiative is a partnership between Mobile Giving Foundation Canada (MGFC), the Rotary Club of Moncton and the RCMP Foundation.  The program will remain in place until at least the end of July, so Canadians may continue to pledge their support by texting the keyword MONCTON to the shortcode 45678 to make a $20 donation.
