The Disney+ streaming service launched Tuesday morning in North America, offering movies and TV content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic, all for $8.99 per month in Canada.

Demand was so high when the service first launched this morning, many potential customers took to social media to complain about difficulty connecting to the service. A little before 10 a.m. EST, Disney posted a message on Twitter saying: “The consumer demand for Disney+ has exceeded our high expectations. We are working to quickly resolve the current user issue. We appreciate your patience.”

Once subscribers successfully join the service, they will be able to stream content ad-free and on-demand on up to four devices simultaneously and they can create up to seven profiles per subscription.

Disney+ users can choose to stream content via a wide variety of platforms, including desktop browsers, Android and Apple smart devices, Samsung and LG smart TVs, Apple TV, Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Roku devices. Other supported streaming devices include Chromebook, Chromecast, Apple AirPlay and Amazon FireTV.

For users who want to try the service before signing up for a paid subscription, Disney+ is offering a seven-day free trial. More details are available on the Disney+ website.
