Dish with Mary to debut on AMI-tv in September

TORONTO — Accessible Media Inc. (AMI) announced today the latest project from Mary Mammoliti (above), Dish with Mary, will debut Thursday, Sept. 16 at 8:30 p.m. ET on AMI-tv, with episodes also available to stream on AMI.ca and the AMI-tv app.

Mammoliti is a home cook and food blogger who is partially sighted and is familiar to AMI audiences through her podcast Kitchen Confession, her bi-weekly Kelly and Company segments on AMI-audio, and her appearance in the 2019 documentary A Taste of the Prairies on AMI-tv. She also shares recipes on the weekly newsmagazine show AMI This Week during Now We’re Cooking with Mary Mammoliti segments.

In the new series Dish with Mary, Mammoliti hosts an at-home cook-along with eight Canadian chefs, including Paul Shufelt, Giselle Courteau, Blair Lebsack, Mariel Montero Sena, Brad Smoliak, Edgar Gutierrez, Lindsay Porter and Ted Reader. Each episode focuses on one chef and one dish.

While Mammoliti is based in Toronto, the show’s guest chefs connect with her from across Canada using the latest audio and video technology, says a press release, which notes production was done with the strictest COVID-19 safety regulations in place.

“Filming Dish with Mary has been a dream come true,” said Mammoliti, in the press release. “I encourage viewers to get into their own kitchens and tackle these recipes, made with easy-to-find ingredients.”

In keeping with AMI’s mandate of making accessible media for all Canadians, Dish with Mary features Integrated Described Video (IDV) for individuals who are blind or partially sighted.
