
TORONTO — With a national free preview running from September 10 to October 22, Bell Media’s Discovery channel today announced its fall schedule, which includes the season nine debut of its hit original series Highway Thru Hell.
Premiering September 14 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, the ninth season of Highway Thru Hell (18 episodes x 60 minutes) returns to chronicle the work of the heavy recovery operators who often put their own lives at risk to help keep vital transport highways open and safe. This season Jamie Davis (pictured in centre) and the other heavy rescue companies are joined by new operators, new equipment and even a new base. Before the season nine debut, Discovery is rebroadcasting season eight of Highway Thru Hell during a Labour Day marathon on Monday, September 7 starting at 6 a.m. ET/3 a.m. PT.
Discovery’s fall lineup also includes the series premiere of Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings (10×60) on September 17 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT, which will see the best street racers in the country compete for $50,000 every week.
Other series premieres on Discovery this fall include: All on the Line (4×60, September 22 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT); Dodgeball: Thunderdome (9×60, September 23 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT); and Mysteries of the Deep (10×60, September 30 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT).
Also included in Discovery’s schedule during its freeview are the season three premieres for both Diesel Brothers (12×60, September 17 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT) and Texas Metal (12×60, September 17 at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT).
In addition, Discovery will air new episodes of Bering Sea Gold, Homestead Rescue: Home Sweet Homestead, Chasing Monsters, I Quit, Deadliest Catch, Expedition Unknown: Josh Gates Tonight, and Naked and Afraid XL.
