TORONTO — Discovery is partnering with Ski-Doo to turn the digital series Escape Mountain into a one-hour broadcast special, scheduled to air on Discovery on Thursday, November 21 at 8 p.m. ET. The three-part digital series is available currently on Discovery.ca and Discovery GO.

Combining the challenge of an escape room with a rugged and extreme environment, Escape Mountain features five professional snowmobile riders, snowboarders and skiers dropped in the frozen wilderness with no gear or sense of direction. Professional snowmobile riders Ashley Chaffin, Tony Jenkins and Rob Alford join pro snowboarder Craig McMorris and pro skier Sean Pettit to conquer the world’s most extreme escape room, the Discovery news release reads.

With nothing but their Ski-Doo snowmobiles and some clues to guide them, the five riders must work together to solve a series of intense, will-testing challenges. However, one massive obstacle stands in the way — a mountain.

“We are beyond excited to partner with Ski-Doo on this unique and innovative content piece,” said Just Stockman, vice-president of brand partnerships for Bell Media. “This relationship provides an opportunity to leverage Discovery’s digital, social and linear platforms to help Ski-Doo build mass awareness around their brand as we head into winter.”

Discovery is promoting Escape Mountain in the following ways:

  • 1 x 30-second trailer to run across Discovery networks and TSN
  • 1 x 15-second digital pre-roll trailer on targeted sites
  • amplification via social media through organic and paid posts on Discovery handles
  • one-hour special rebroadcast on Discovery networks Discovery Science and Discovery Velocity
