Discovery Channel app seeks to engage, connect viewers

TORONTO – Discovery Channel Canada has launched a new app billed as a companion experience to the TV viewing experience. Available now for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users, the app allows viewers to engage with the network via socially-driven, show-related chat environments and to participate in polls, trivia and contests.
