TORONTO – DHX Television's rebranded preschool networks Family Jr. and Télémagino officially rolled out to Canadian viewers on Friday.
Replacing the former Disney Junior preschool channels, Family Jr. is available to English-language subscribers across Canada and offers titles such as Thomas & Friends, Strawberry Shortcake, Twirlywoos, Curious George (pictured), The Save-Ums!, Topsy and Tim, Julius Jr., Yo Gabba Gabba!, Sarah & Duck and Kate & Mim-Mim. Available to subscribers in French Canada, Télémagino offers new episodes of Thomas & Friends, Franny's Feet, The Save-Ums! and Bananas in Pyjamas. Popular titles including Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Sheriff Callie's Wild West and Henry Hugglemonster also remain part of the lineup through the fall.
Movies and special content will continue to be added to both the English and French network schedules, including the new Canadian original puppet series Playdate which will debut on Family Jr. on October 3.
The Family Jr. and Télémagino networks are both commercial-free and are complemented by dedicated OnDemand channels and network websites.
