DHX Media takes ‘Teletubbies’ brand to South Korea with broadcast, toy deals

HALIFAX – Teletubbies will make their debut in South Korea this spring after DHX Media’s dedicated brand management and consumer products arm signed its first broadcast and consumer products deals in the country.The two deals build on DHX Brands' strategy to expand the Teletubbies brand throughout Asia and to capitalize on the significant potential for consumer products in the territory, the company said. The new preschooler series has been picked up by South Korea's public broadcaster KBS, while SMG Holdings/Joon International has been named licensing agent for Teletubbies in South Korea and is expected to begin rolling out a consumer products...
