DHX Media strikes new deals in China for ‘Teletubbies’

HALIFAX – DHX Media’s popular series Teletubbies is seeking new pre-school audiences in China with two new deals with streaming platforms Youku and iQIYI.Both services will offer seasons one and two via subscription video-on-demand (SVoD) and advertising-supported video-on-demand (AVoD) services.  Season one will premiere in the territory on June 1st with season two to follow at a later date.In a separate deal, the company’s dedicated brand management and consumer products arm DHX Brands has appointed Promotional Partners Worldwide (PPW) as the licensing agent for Teletubbies in China.  This follows the recent appointment of new DHX Brands business development director Candy Ho,...
