DHX Media licenses more ‘Teletubbies’ to Nick Jr. in U.S. exclusive

HALIFAX – DHX Media has licensed exclusive U.S. broadcast rights for 30 brand-new half-hour episodes of popular children's television property Teletubbies, that will begin airing on Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr. preschool channel in 2017.The new TV show was commissioned and premiered in the UK by CBeebies, and has been picked up by 23 broadcasters worldwide to date, as well as Amazon Prime Video in the U.K.DHX Media called Teletubbies “the flagship property” in its strategy to build global brands, noting that the global licensing program now has more than 85 top-tier licensees, including a Master Toy line, children's book publishing agreement,...
