Dejero announces sales team promotions

WATERLOO — Broadcast video and data transport provider Dejero today announced two key sales team promotions at the company.

Rob Waters (above, left) has been promoted to global director of sales and Michael Stanton (right) has been appointed as director of sales for the Americas.

Dejero says in a press release these promotions are “part of its global strategy to scale sales activity, expand its technology partnerships and distributor networks, and broaden its reach into existing industry verticals and across regional markets.”

“These important staff promotions are aligned with our customers’ needs to accelerate their adoption of mobile and cloud technologies,” Kevin Fernandes, Dejero’s chief revenue officer, said in the release.

As global director of sales, Waters will lead Dejero’s worldwide sales organization and “will spearhead the company’s higher-level sales strategy to scale and grow the business across vertical markets including broadcast and media, public safety, government agencies and emerging markets, as well as expanding the company’s global reach by strengthening its partner network,” the release reads.

A broadcast and media industry veteran with more than two decades of experience, Waters joined Dejero in 2018 as director of sales for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. He previously held senior sales positions at Blackmagic Designs and IDX Technology Europe, the release says.

In his new role, Stanton is responsible for business development, sales team management and growth strategy for Dejero across the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

A former journalist and Emmy award-winning TV news manager, with 15 years’ experience working in U.S. TV markets, Stanton joined Dejero in 2016 “to accelerate the adoption of Dejero’s live video solutions,” according to the release.

With his “in-depth knowledge of broadcast technology and the ability to build and maintain strategic relationships, Stanton is well placed to drive the business forward and to help Dejero solve the connectivity issues that its customers are facing today,” the release says.

“Our growth strategy is about bringing more integrated solutions to the market by expanding technology partnerships and broadening our distributor and reseller network to better serve our customers and offer more touch points,” Fernandes said.
