
KITIMAT, B.C. – As the federal election gets closer, local voters will be able to look to CityWest Community TV to help them make up their minds by tuning into three all-candidates debates this month.
The debates in Prince Rupert, Terrace, and Kitimat will be broadcast live on channel 310 and be live-streamed on the community channel’s website (www.cwcommunitytv.ca) and Facebook page.
“We’ve always had great viewership for any of the various election debates we broadcast, and a lot of great engagement from voters who watch it on the Internet,” said Devin Wall, community television manager. “We’re looking forward to another round of spirited debate so that people around the north can make an informed decision on election day.”
The dates and times for the debates are as follows:
* Prince Rupert: Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
* Kitimat: Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m.
* Terrace: Thursday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
The debates will also be re-broadcast in the order above on Saturday Oct. 19, starting at 3 p.m.
