Davis tapped for Rosalie Award at Canadian Music Week

TORONTO – Popular Canadian radio host Erin Davis has been named this year’s recipient of the Rosalie Award, as part of Canadian Music Week next month.

Inspired by radio’s legendary Rosalie Trombley, the Rosalie Award honours Canadian women in broadcasting who have "blazed new trails". Davis will accept her award at the 7th annual Trailblazer’s Breakfast on March 13, held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in Toronto.

Rosalie Trombley, known as “one of the most powerful radio programmers in North America”, will present the award at the breakfast, which will also see Valerie Geller from Geller Media International deliver the keynote. Geller will speak on a topic called ‘radio’s silver lining’.

Canadian Music Week (CMW) is Canada’s annual entertainment event dedicated to the expression and growth of the country’s music, media and entertainment industries. Combining four information-intensive conferences; a trade exposition; a film festival; four awards shows and the nation’s largest new music festival – Canadian Music Fest, CMW will be held March 11 – 14, 2009 at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel and various downtown Toronto venues.
