LOS ANGELES – Episodes of the Canadian TV drama Da Vinci’s Inquest that are new to the U.S. market will be available on YouTube through its U.S. agent Program Partners.
Full-length, on-demand editions of the “City Hall” episodes will be available in the U.S. first on YouTube’s Da Vinci’s Inquest Channel (http://www.youtube.com/davincisinquest) and then on Superstation WGN and in syndication.
Program Partners said in a media release that the move marks the latest milestone in its expansive broadband initiative, which is designed to take advantage of new avenues for multi-platform distribution.
“Dominic DaVinci (Nicholas Campbell) is definitely expanding his horizons,” said Josh Raphaelson of Program Partners. “He moves in to the Mayor’s office and goes right on YouTube. Longtime fans and many new ones will be excited to find him there.”
“When Internet users search for video online, they go to YouTube,” said Dave Hutchinson, Senior Vice President of New Media for Program Partners. “Premiering new episodes of Da Vinci’s Inquest there shows how seriously we take this platform and its audience.”
The drama, produced by Haddock Entertainment and Barna-Alper Productions, is cleared in 98% of the United States and airs on more than 200 station affiliates. The show is in its second year of U.S. syndication.
