BEVERLY HILLS – Viceland (it’s gone from Canada but endures Stateside), announced this week it has renewed its pro wrestling docu-series Dark Side Of The Ring – and that it will come to Canada on Bell Media’s Crave as a new original series.

The critically praised show picked up good ratings for Viceland in the U.S. and attracted the attention of some the sport’s superstars, too. It’s actually made by Toronto’s Vice Media production team.

The second season of the series will see ten hour-long “examinations of the collision of fantasy and reality and the stars' larger-than-life characters in and out of the ring,” says the press release.

Season one is set to have its Canadian premiere this fall, only on Crave. The press release didn’t say, but we assume it will be on TV Crave as well as online Crave.

Dark Side Of The Ring hails from Vice Studios’ Canadian production team and there’s a huge wrestling fan base here in Canada, so partnering on this specific series is a natural fit for Crave,” said Justin Stockman, Bell Media’s vice-president, premium SVOD and OTT, in the press release.
