TORONTO – Adara Technologies has finalized an agreement with U.S. cableco Darien Communications for its digital video network upgrade.
Adara’s hosted and managed switched digital video capability enables the addition of hundreds of incremental high definition channels. Combined with web-connected set-top boxes and a next-generation user interface, the solution will also allow Darien to offer features such as whole home DVR, social TV, and advanced search to its approximate 3,000 subscribers in Southeast Georgia.
“While our immediate focus with Darien Communications is operational cost and risk reduction, we are already planning to leverage our solution’s powerful SDV-in-the-cloud capability, advanced user interface and IP apps and widgets,” said Adara CEO Joseph Nucara, in the announcement. “Our already-deployed suite of powerful solution capabilities enables Darien Communications to add revolutionary new video service innovations quickly – in weeks or months, not years – as their competitive pressures and opportunities warrant.”
