Dan Cormier named GM of Evanov’s Z103.5 Halifax


TORONTO – Dan Cormier has been hired as general manager of Halifax’s next radio station, Z103.5 (CKHZ FM), expected to go on-air in February of 2006.

Cormier spent his 20-year broadcasting career out east.

In 1991, he joined the management team of Radio Atlantic Ltd. (CFNB) where he served as general sales manager until April of 1994 when Radio One and Radio Atlantic became Atlantic Canada’s first merged broadcast operation. The result was the formation of Radio (RSL) Inc. where Cormier served as sales development manager of all broadcast holdings in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

From 1997 to 2003 he served as general manager and sales manager of the Nova Scotia properties holding Radio Atlantic Ltd. divisions of Radio (RSL) Inc.

Cormier is also active in the community and has been involved with a number of community and charitable organizations including: The United Way, Canadian Cancer Society, Family and Teens Against Drunk Driving and has served on the Board of Directors of The Colchester Regional Hospital Foundation.

Evanov Radio Group owns and operates Toronto area radio stations: CIDC-FM (Z103.5); CKDX-FM (Foxy 88.5); and CIAO (AM530); and their newest stations CKHZ-FM (Z103.5) in Halifax and 98.5 The Jewel in Ottawa.
