Corus Entertainment’s Curiouscast announced Monday a special edition of its award-winning podcast Canadian History Ehx, which will put the spotlight on some of Canada’s brightest stars in a biweekly series starting April 8.
Hosted by Craig Baird, this deep-dive series will feature exclusive interviews with iconic Canadian figures in entertainment, sports and music, including actor and film producer Ryan Reynolds; world-renowned champion figure skater Elvis Stojko; comedian, actor and writer Mark Critch; award-winning singer-songwriter Ron Sexsmith, and more.
“The all-new special series will air every other Tuesday, bringing listeners audio and video interviews with Canadian legends in a captivating tell-all format,” a Corus press release said. “Host Craig Baird sits down with each guest as they share stories of their triumphs, struggles, and how their Canadian roots have shaped their journeys to success on the world stage.”
“As a wave of nationalism sweeps across Canada, we want to showcase the perspective of prominent Canadians,” Baird said in a statement. “This series is a way to explore their lives and share how our country helped shape their successes, leaving a market both domestically and globally.”
New episodes will be available every other Tuesday on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music and wherever listeners find their favourite podcasts.
In 2023, Canadian History Ehx received two Canadian Podcast Awards for People’s Choice and Outstanding News and Current Affairs Series.
