TORONTO – With no luck on the court battle for simsub rights for this year's Super Bowl game, Bell Media has once again lined up an impressive array of prizing hoping to entice Canadians to watch the game on the Canadian broadcaster.
Live from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, and featuring the defending champs New England Patriots taking on the Philadelphia Eagles, CTV's coverage of Super Bowl LII begins Sunday, Feb. 4 at 6 p.m. ET on CTV, CTV Two, and TSN2, with an expansive slate of pre-game coverage starting at 12 noon ET on CTV, which can be sim-subbed with the U.S. telecast. Only the game itself is covered by the non-simsub rule.
CTV’s broadcast features the return of its Watch to Win contest which again includes a slate of prizes up for grabs worth $300,000 exclusively to Canadians watching the game on CTV, CTV Two, or TSN2. Canadian viewers have the chance to win a trip to next year’s Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, a 2018 Nissan Titan, or one of three cash prizes including a grand prize of $150,000.
CTV also said today that Canadian comic star Russell Peters will be featured throughout the broadcast. He will appear in a series of funny video bits, only available to Canadian viewers watching on CTV, CTV Two, and TSN2.
Leading up to the game, Canadian fans can also visit BigGameAds.ca to keep up to date on all of the American Super Bowl ads released in advance of the big game. In addition to the 2018 ads, the site also features fan-favourite ads from years past.
