CTV’s Lewchuk takes senior post at CNN Worldwide


ATLANTA – Rick Lewchuk has joined CNN Worldwide as senior vice president, creative services, and will oversee on-air and off-channel brand and marketing creative for all CNN Worldwide businesses, the company has announced. His responsibilities will include brand messaging, on-air promotion, print, out-of-home, radio, television and digital advertising campaigns.

“Among his many accomplishments, he was instrumental in the revitalization of Canada’s top media brand CTV, and oversaw its internal agency which is globally recognized for its marketing industry leadership. His broad skills and strength in taking brands to the next level make him a tremendous asset at CNN,” said Janet Rollé, executive vice president and chief marketing officer for CNN Worldwide.

Lewchuk  (right) joins CNN after serving for nearly 20 years in senior-level executive positions at CTV, a division of Bell Media.  Most recently, he was senior vice president of CTV Creative Agency and brand strategy, based in Toronto, since 2007 and led a team of 190 designers, writers, producers and media planners who were responsible for all aspects of marketing two broadcast networks, 28 television stations, 34 cable networks.

Earlier, he was senior vice president program planning and promotion at CTVglobemedia from 1998. In this position he oversaw the on-air and off-channel creative for the CTV Television Network, its affiliates and all of its cable channels. He created original brands including The Comedy Network, CTV News Channel and BNN and launched Canadian versions of brands that include MTV and E! Prior to his work at CTV, Lewchuk was vice president, promotions and publicity at Baton Broadcasting and previously held promotions positions at CKCK-TV, Saskatchewan.
