CTVglobemedia contributes $2.3 million to MusiCan

CALGARY – CTVglobemedia said Thursday it will contribute $2.3 million to MusiCan over seven years to support music education in Canada. The broadcaster made the announcement from a Calgary school prior to the 2008 JUNO Awards, which air this Sunday on CTV. During the announcement, students at Calgary’s Ernest Morrow Jr. High School performed on instruments that were provided through MusiCan. MusiCan is the charitable arm of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS).
