CTV Winnipeg studio fully converted to digital

TORONTO – CTV has finished converting its new Winnipeg studio in a fully digital environment. The Winnipeg station is the first CTV facility to move to a completely digital system. CTV Winnipeg has been broadcasting from the new high-tech facility for several months as it moved from the legacy analog technologies into “state of the art, integrated systems.” The newsroom’s fully digital equipment includes ingest, editing, and playout, as well as a digital archive system that can move footage faster than in real time to other CTV stations across Canada.
