TORONTO – CTV is gearing up to press play on two new Video on Demand channels this Thursday that will allow Canadians to stream thousands of hours of uncut movie titles and full TV series free of charge.
Ad-supported CTV Movies and CTV Throwback promise to take viewers back to watch the TV shows they grew up on, while also offering new generations a chance to discover programming for the first time. Content at launch will include films such as Spider-Man, Charlie’s Angels, and Men in Black, as well as retro TV series Community, Dawson’s Creek, and The Facts Of Life. New titles will be released weekly.
The two digital-only offerings will be available exclusively on CTV digital platforms, including CTV.ca and the CTV app on iOS, Android, and Amazon Fire Stick.
“As the next step in the evolution of the CTV Super Hub, we are proud to announce these two new digital destinations,” said Mike Cosentino, Bell Media’s president of content and programming, in the release. “We’re putting thousands of hours of additional entertainment at the fingertips of our users for free, expanding our catalogue of hit long-form entertainment.”
