CTV taps into air travel’s golden age to promote new series

TORONTO – CTV has launched some ‘first class’ marketing initiatives designed to promote its new series called PAN AM which takes off September 25th.

Flying wasn’t always about long lines and arduous security checks – to help bring back some of those memories and to celebrate the show’s debut, CTV is asking Canadians to look back at the height of the Jet Age and share their flight stories from the late 1950s and 60s. Starting now through September 22nd, viewers 18 years of age and older are encouraged to submit their stories, (max 300 words), to panamcontest@ctv.ca. A panel of judges will select the most interesting story to post on CTV.ca.

CTV is also bringing the sky to the street via the PAN AM screening lounge – a 10 x 20 foot portable mock jetliner – which has attracted more than 2,300 visitors over the first five stops in Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Calgary and Vancouver in its seven-city mall tour.

On September 23, teams of PAN AM stewardesses will descend upon the Vancouver and Toronto airports, as well as street locations in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal to promote the series premiere.

Starring Christina Ricci, Kelli Garner, Margot Robbie and Montreal-native Karine Vanasse, PAN AM airs Sundays at 10 pm ET beginning September 25.
